FreeBSD is a great general purpose OS. it can do everything. it is easy to use, manage and had a ton of apps avail.

hardware support is good, from raspberry-pi's to supercomputers, and because of its truly 'libre' license, is used (wholly or in part) in a number of commercial products.

ahh linux, so powerful, so confusing, why do many options, why so many distros ?

my first interaction with linux was during tertiary education, and it was weird, and wonderful, however fleeting. i don't recall much.

About

i like OpenBSD, and use it where i can, its simple (good and bad), secure out the box, well documented and easy to learn.

there are some things it doesn't do as well. and some apps are not compatible. buts that's ok.
